3/7/19

Today in class, we discussed a powerpoint that we reviewed today on Ancient Greece. We talked about the surrounding rivers of ancient civilizations, The geography of Greece, the people of Greece, and a little bit of Greek politics. Greece is a very mountainous land with about three-fourths of it being covered in mountains. Only one-fourth of the and is arable. Greece is one large peninsula surrounded by multiple seas. This supports the lifestyle of a Greek. They are big fisherman, shipbuilders, strong navigators, and had a very strong navy. Greece was divided into city-states because of the very mountainous region making it hard to unite them. The citizens of the city-states would refer to themselves as citizens of the city-state instead of as a greek. This is what we covered today in class.
