Today in class, we went over more of the powerpoint on ancient Greece. We talked about Homer the Bard, a blind storyteller that composed the stories, or epics The Iliad, and The Oddesey. We went over a little bit of what happens in The Oddesey as well. It is about a man named Odysseus who goes to war in Troy. But on the way back, Poseidon keeps blowing his boat off course. It takes him Ten years because he keeps getting blown to different islands and staying for a good amount of time at each one. he stayed at the island of the Lotus Eaters for a year. While he was out traveling his wife was being bombarded by men that thought Oddyseus was dead. But she knew he was going to come back and turned everyone away. He eventually came back and they lived happily ever after.  We also talked about the types of governments used throughout ancient Greece and a couple of important political terms like polis, oligarchy, monarchy, aristocracy, and tyrant. The class was pretty good today.
