I do believe the United States is on a decline like the Roman empire once was. A couple of reasons are a paid army, economic decline, and always being at war. These are all similar to the reasons why Rome fell. The paid military does bring its advantages but some people lack the patriotism to actually fight for our country. When Romes citizens lost its pride, the emperors had to rely on mercenaries to defend them, but all they wanted was a paycheck for showing up. Even though that doesn't happen a lot nowadays, it still happens. The economic decline plays a big part because of inflation, all of the prices are high and money is worth less than it was before. Making it hard for people to "stay afloat' and be successful. This winds up causing crime and revolts/riots because the poor have to find a way for food and money. This happened in Rome. The people destroyed their empire themselves. The last one is were constantly stepping into other people wars. This causes lots of debt and deaths. This kills off a lot of men and women. Causing families to not rely on the government for protection. This leaves us at risk for an easy attack. The United States is on a slow decline like Rome.
