Diocletian- a Strong willed leader who became emperor in 284 A.D. He restored order to the empire and doubled the size of the army. He divided Rome and gained help ruling the empire.

Constantipole- The new city that was surrounded by high walls became the new capital when the western empire fell.

Attila- First powerful chieftain in Hun history. He terrorized both halves of the empire. He died in 453 due to disease and famine.

2) The economic decline caused inflation and when the declined occurred, so did the political instability which leads to an untrustworthy army.
